The Season 1 cast of Green Passport was selected over a lengthy period with two auditions in March 2006 and a nomination and selection process recently conducted. In searching for this season’s cast, our judges had the intriguing task of cultivating a diverse and captivating group of individuals from various socio-economic backgrounds within the Nigerian Diaspora, who could portray the various facets of being a foreigner in ‘The Land of Opportunity.’ So what made each of these cast members unique?

Obi’s extroverted demeanor and edgy, hip hop flair convinced the judges that he had a story to tell…Officer Sodimu’s twin personalities of a law-enforcing citizen and thrill-seeking biker are an exciting match for the show’s debut season…Businessman by day and entertainer by night, Shoboy’s affinity for music blends seamlessly with his unwavering dedication to his Nigerian culture...The only African designer to be featured in this year’s New York Fashion Week, Estella Couture shows an admirable passion for breaking into mainstream fashion with her eclectic designs…
